ME, MYSELF, I – Personal Development Programmes to enable severely disadvantaged groups to be in a position to access education, training and employment

The ME, MYSELF, I project aims to promote social, economic and educational inclusion of the most disengaged and disadvantaged groups of people by a personal development programme, supported by peer mentors, which will provide them the skills necessary to access vocational training and employment. This project aims therefore at developing and delivering individualised personal development and life skills courses that will meet the needs of these individuals. The project will be addressed to extremely marginalized people which couldn’t benefit of the support offered by a successful project named Peer Mentor Support Project, by which a successful mentor support framework for broad groups of marginalized people has been developed. It will benefit of the result of a complementary LdV project “Euromentor” as Mentors trained within it will support beneficiaries of the present project once their personal skills are sufficiently developed. A bank of personal development modules which will form the basis on a European Personal Development Programme will be realized within the project. Each partner will pilot the modules with their target groups. The main results expected from the project are a Personal Development training programme, an e-resource pack for trainers, web pages links for public information and handbook for trainers. The exploitation of the results will follow as strategy advertisement and press, steering groups, discussion with decision makers, meeting, marketing. Target groups are represented by marginalized groups such as disabled, learning disabled, disaffected, offender or those with mental health difficulties.
