Demand of the project - observing various surveys, we see a strong interest in leadership issues, especially among the youngsters. In the work of our organization, we observe that in the work with young people, especially teenagers, a strong leader is a necessity, who is able to speak clearly and convincingly, to think in a creative way and at the same time be a friend to them. Leadership topic is relevant because of a real need to educate young leaders of today, in order to achieve good results in the future to ensure the personal and social well-being of not only their country, but also the European context.Project goal - to help young people understand the importance of leadership in the modern world, to learn leadership, to develop leadership through self-knowledge, through the real life, work and personal future vision. Our goal is to promote international youth communication through creativity, overall activities and teamwork; knowledge of other cultures; exchange best practices; to develop young people's self-awareness, responsibility and personal commitment.Participants - young people from Lithuania, Latvia and Poland. Each country's team will consist of 15-18 year olds. Invited youngsters with fewer opportunities living in small towns, rural and remote areas. A total of 36 participants from the three countries (12 in each group).The project will be implemented in an 8-day youth exchange in Lithuania, Mazeikiai district. Planned activities: familiarity with the concept of leadership, the basics of leadership, the importance of leadership, developing public speaking skills, creativity and entrepreneurship training, learning about volunteering through practical activities, learning to understand the team members and to influence them, information meetings. Final Project events - personal and teams‘ strategy "Me in 10 Years“ development and public presentation and “Best young leadership election“.Methods used – team building games, lecture-discussions, individual and groups‘ tasks, reflections, practical activities. Project management: communication with partners by emails, Facebook and Skype, discussing and planning the role of each partner in the project, the responsibilities, dividing the tasks. Mandates are signed between the applicant and partners.Expected results: project participants will gain knowledge about leadership, will acquire / deepen competences necessary for a leader - improve communicability, creative abilities, and will develop public speaking skills, learn to work in a team, to understand the group members and to influence them. Participants will become familiar with other European cultures, countries' experience in developing young leaders, expand the circle of acquaintances, make new friends, and improve their English language skills.Impact: the project aims to unite the efforts of the participants and the creative potential for the present work, because the future is built on its basis. It does not matter in what country you live, acquired leadership qualities will help to move society, young people, and business anywhere in Europe.
