The project "Marcillac-LAnville-Back on stage"! is an exchange based on the active participation of youth to artictic creation and practices that will take place from August 5th to August 22 2016 at priory of Lanville in Charente. The project will gather 32 15-17 years old participants and their leaders from 4 european countries (France, Bosnia-Herzegovinia, Spain and Czech Republic) around a performance created to promote cultural exchanges.The priory and the village of Marcillac-Lanville will be invested by differents workshops and group activities whon main objectives are to enable young people to develop cultural and intercultural skills, and acquire artistic skills. With its strong cultural value and listed as a historical building, the priory as a site, is managed for a short time by the Club Marpen association that wish to turn it into a european intercultural center. The site offers a perfect environement to deal with the priority of the ERASMUS+ programme such as the promotion of cultural diversity, intercultural dialog, youth empowerement... In a rural place, where access to culture is vital to keep the territory attractive, this project will enable the participants to experiment and to pass on differents artistict practices. We expect that this will also benefit to the local. During the exchange, the young people will discover differents aspects and steps of a cultural event : through these experiences they will break the language barrier and live intercultural encounters. We believe that skills that young people will obtain from this project will also be used later in their personal futur, many of them being transferable and required in professional life by instance. To conclude, this youth exchange aims to help the switch from a reality where cultures live side by side to a reality where cultures can meet, interact and enrich each other.
