Main objective: preservation of the coastal and marine natural resources, through strategies of planning and management of the Coastal and Protected Areas, favoring the implementation of solid bonds of cooperation among the ultraperipheral regions of the Açores, the Canaries and Madeira, in the matters of planning, maritime ordinance and coastal substance, to contribute to an intensification of the respect for the territories of Macaronésia.· To value and to promote and cultural the natural resources; To elaborate and to implement Plans of Management of Coastal and Protected Areas; To establish and to implement a program of accompaniment of the Plans of Management of Coastal and Protected Areas; To command and to improve the management of the resources of the marine and coastal way. To promote the creation of Protected Coastal and Sea Areas in the Macaronésia. To foment the respect and consciencialização of the society, respect for the ambient values presents in the Coastal and Marine Areas. To educate qualified staff for the development of the consequentes tasks of the management of these protecting areas.
