„Small building sites – an individual development of competences” is a project prepared by Zespół Szkół no 1 in Wadowice. It begins on July 1, 2014 and ends on December 31, 2015. The main German partner is an enterprise Siegmundsburger Haus Werraquelle GmbH which is located in the middle of Germany. Other partners, which accept our students are small and medium companies. They are: UM-Universal Facility Management GmbH, Waldhotel Feldbachtal and Hotel am Kleeberg. This project is catered for the students from Zespół Szkół no 1 in Wadowice, so for the people who come from Wadowice and surrounding locations from the region with a high unemployment rate. Project implies the organisation of the work practice for the students from our school, which is preceded by the linguistic, pedagogical and cultural preparations. The participants come from a various range of school majors, these are: construction technicians, bricklayer-plasterers, plumbers, engineers of finishing works. They will go abroad for their practice in 3 groups: 1 goes in March 2015, 2 in July 2015 and the last one in September 2015. The main aims are: * development of the vocational competences connected with the constructional and repair works, * development of the competences connected with the usage of foreign languages (in this project it is German language), * development and perfection of the key competences, * development of self-reliance of the students, * development of the social competences and ability to build international friendships, * development of the mobility among the participants on the European job market. Within the preparations for the project participants have the following courses and trainings: an additional German language course in the school and on the e-learning platform prepared by The European Commission, training „preparation of the meals solo”, first aid course and a training “washing and personal hygiene”. After preparations the students go to Thuringia for their work practice. During their traineeship they handle with specific tasks: decoration, painting, making the walls from gypsum boards, laying the floor (from different materials), cutting of the windows and other surfaces, window painting and room insulation. The students will learn how to use different machines and materials as well as disposal of the structural waste. Assessment of the development level of the students’ competences will be realised through the ECVET system. It will allow an acknowledgment for the students’ achievements. By the time the project is finished they will receive documents such as: Europass Mobility, Europass Language Passport, certificate from the central German partner and a confirmation of the courses which prepared them for the practice. Thanks to the realization of the project, our school will become more attractive to the alums from the high school. It will also improve its educational offer and develop its operation on the international agenda and it will aim at the Europeanization of the education. Our project assumes that thanks to the improvement of the competences of students, who are the future of the constructional business in Wadowice, such actions will contribute to the development of the economy in the region and declination of the unemployment rate.
