Make the change come true-Live your life sustainable Nr.2
Date du début: 18 juin 2014, Date de fin: 17 déc. 2014 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project ‘Make the change come true- Live your life sustainable2’ took place from 12th till 20th of September 2014 in Saalburg-Ebersdorf (Thuringia), Germany with 32 participants from Itlay, Lithuania, Croatia, Portugal and Germany. The project promoted healthy behaviours through young people from different European countries by using tools from outdoor education. Employability and social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities were strengthen through these activities. The young people reflected themselves, their origins and the lifestyles in their countries and regions, concerning healthy lifestyles. These situations were compared with the situations of the european neighbours. These discussions and learning moments took place in combination with various outdoor activities, such as mini golf, ultimate frisbee, table tennis, swimming, volleyball, cycling and climbing. The Exchange took place at the 'Youth House in Saalburg‘, at the Bleilochtalsperre- a big lake- with many possibilities for outdoor activities. This place is perfect for such an exchange, because the young people could discover the nature, can be active and can focus on themselves and the cultural exchange. One nice element within the programme was a geocaching tour, with which we combined this elements. The aim of the project was to mediate intercultural & environmental learning with content-related inputs to the topic. The aim was to stimulate the participants to be more aware of how to use resources, how to threat the environment, what to consume and to inspirate them to become active citizen. A quite important element, we combined with this Youth Exchange was to introduce the topic of Social Entrepreneurship and to inspirate the young people what can be done with small step, close to the motto ‚Be the change you want to see in the world.’ During the whole exchange we used various methods of non-formal education, so that many of the inputs came from the participants. By writing personal letters to themselves, which we sent some month after the project to the participants, they received a reminder about the project and a personal motivation what they would like to change in their daily life after the YE. CGE Erfurt e.V. is going to continue with this line with new and old partner organisations, because we belief that this topic needs to be tackled further.
