Our school has got a lot of technological equipment; however , neither the teachers nor the students have the necessary skills and enough competence to use the existing technology. In order to improve the quality of education by means of improving the competence of the school staff on some subjects such as being able to motivate the students on a technologically based lesson, being able to address to modern-day digital generation of students and easing the development of personalized teaching materials for difficult classes, we started to search for proper training courses and the project team of our school has found out that a course offered by Dominou Association will be beneficial. The objectives we want to achieve by means of that ICT course are as the followings; -to develop ICT competences about applying technology in different educational settings in order to improve the motivation of students - to share good practices and transfer knowledge and methods between different cultural zones - to develop tools about ways of applying technology in education for different age groups - to promote European cooperation in the field of education within the framework of the Erasmus+ program by partnership building - to be a leader, helper and supporter in the applying of technology in educational settings - to be a role model for students as teachers who strive for improving themselves - to learn about different cultures - to get information about Europe and education systems in Europe - to have a better vision as people who live in a rural environment - to share good practices we have learned from our European counterparts with the teachers of our own school School Director, Assistant Director (Chairman of Project Management Board/Contact Person), a teacher of English, a Philosophy teacher who is experienced in TÜBİTAK projects, a Physcial Education teacher who has several certificates related to ICT and communication and the school counsellor who plays an active role in the motivation of students were chosen to be trainees for the applied course. The course consists of 6 modules and lasts for 9 days. These modules are specified in the course programme respectively as Culture and Interculturality, Digital tools, Audio and video-Digital stories, Blogs-Websites and web quests, Digital methodology and evaluation. Activities to be organized related to mobility; When the mobility process starts, the participants will be taught English by our teacher of English. Moreover, informative studies will be implemented about the country to be visited and its culture. 6 teachers will participate in a nine-day long ICT course called "Make technology your friend" in Malta between 15th April,2016 and 23rd April, 2016. Besides achieving the main objective of that course which is being able to use technology in the class, the participants will have the chance to visit some schools and learn about their educational programmes. Furthermore, with the help of our training provider, a local institution which is implementing EU projects will be visited and the participants will be informed about performed projects and good practice samples. Good practice samples in the field of education will be shared by all the participants and we will acquire skills necessary for finding partners and project management in Eu projects. The expected outcomes of our project in the event that it is approved are as the followings; -developed teacher competence in the use of technology, -the use of technology in a right and efficient way in different educational settings, -improvement in the professional skills of the participants, -richnes and diversity in applied approaches and methods, -improved foreign language skills. During the training course, we will meet teachers from at least 3 different EU countries and this will promote European cooperation and it will enable us to build Erasmus+ partnerships in the future more easily. It will also be possible for us to make comparisons between our education system and the education systems of different EU countries. Within the scope of dissemination activities, we will organize meetings and seminars in the other schools of our district. We will create positive effects on active usage of interactive white boards in especially the schools which have been equipped with them this year within the framework of Fatih project. We will provide assistance for both the students and teachers through social media.
