Formatus - AFIIP is a non-profit association that develops a regional development work and social economy in various fields, such as education, training, art and culture and supporting entrepreneurship. Formatus manages the "Universe of Opportunity" a project under the “ Programa Escolhas” in which welcomes children and young people developing priority areas such as school inclusion and non-formal education; Vocational training and employability; Community energizing and citizenship; Digital inclusion; and Entrepreneurship and training. In this context Formatus also collaborates with the school EB 2, 3 and Jose Regio school B1 / JI in socio - cultural activities developed inthe schools; collaborates with the Social Shop in the collection and organization of clothing and goods to be distributed by the poorest people; participates in the organization of cultural and traditional events in conjunction with the City Hall of Portalegre, and collaborates with the Arts and Shows Center (CAEP) in various cultural activities.Considering the panorama of the city of Portalegre, the lack of population entrepreneurism, absenteeism and academic failure, causes resulting from the inherent characteristics of a town in Portugal, we decided to develop this EVS project, focused on European mobility and believing it will make a difference not only to the young people who expect to receive, but also in changing attitudes of our youth.Effectively the participants will integrate the youth teams who develop the activities referred to in education, social inclusion, language learning, art and culture.Formatus has experience as host and coordination organization within the European Voluntary Service. The previous projects have had a major impact on the region and particularly in places where they were developed, involving the community in general.The techniques of Formatus have experience in the field of youth and mobility and they were present at Seminars and Training courses in Italy and Belgium that promote youth mobility acquiring knowledge, experience and made partnerships.In this context the project "Make it Happen", whose mission is to promote the social inclusion of children and young people and active individuals, with a view to equal opportunities and strengthening social cohesion; promotes activities and involvement of participants in a conducive environment for the development of skills and training skills and abilities.Another objective is to develop multilingualism which plays a major role in capacity building, in order to prepare individuals for the labor market. The project "Make it Happen" aims to fill this lack of language skills more effectively promoting the mobility of young people and their integration in activities covering the European area. Formatus has an open process of selection and has no prejudices. Volunteers are selected regardless of their origin, aged between 17 and 30 years. They must be people responsible, creative, participatory, and willing to learn and help. The recruitment process is carried out by analyzing CVs, the candidate's motivation, expectations regarding the project and their contributions. Formatus has as partners in this project Italy and Latvia, in achieving long-term EVS (6 months) The project partners are responsible for preparing the volunteers who will be trained to match, with regard to the following aspects: values of EVS, possible culture clashes, rights and responsibilities of volunteers and all project partners, Info - Kit and participation in the EVS Annual Event.The Host Organisation and coordination undertakes to provide training on arrival and accompany the volunteers throughout the EVS service. The tutor will be responsible for adapting and well-being of the volunteers during their stay in Portalegre. It will also be responsible for monitoring the learning process that characterizes the Youthpass certificate.The Formatus as Organization Project Coordinator undertakes to take legal and financial responsibility for the project to the National Agency. The project will be made known to the population at the regional, national and international levels through the media, social networks and through "The logbook - I made it Happen" held by volunteers who will be available on the Internet, schools, partner entities and National Agency.
