Májová jde do Evropy
Date du début: 1 déc. 2014, Date de fin: 30 nov. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project "Májová goes to Europe" has been prepared by the school management and pedagogical staff. The main aim is the improvement of metodical, language and managerial skills and competences. As the new programme Erasmus+ focuses on the school like the institution, the activities have to be carefully planned in cooperation with each parts (teachers, management and course providers). The project coordinator has coped with the leader of the foreign language department and made a plan of activities which should open the way to a strategic partnership in next years. Previous experiences from the multilateral partnership showed some weaknesses of staff and learners. The school has determined the objectives which will have to be done for enhancing the present situation: 1) develop language skills and competences of non-language teachers to open the possibility of CLIL, job-shadowing, teaching assingment in partner's school etc. 2) enrich the methodology of language education especially for younger learners and develop specific skills of all the students like reading and speaking 3) make the school more attractive for new learners and graduate teachers, work on the curriculum and cooperate with parents and local administration to lower early school leaving, 4) take a part in new key actions within Erasmus+ programme especially strategic partnerships and fully exploit its opportunities Twelve staff trainings are planned either in foreign language courses (6) or methodology (4) and management (2). Since the main second language taught at school is English, eight of the courses are held in it (including management) and the other courses (4) are taught in the German or Russian language. Whereas the language courses are opened for any teachers who are going to teach foreing language or work on new strategic partnerships, the methodical courses will be provided only for qualified staff with language level at least B1. During all the project, the coordinator is supposed to closely cooperate with the leader of foreign language department, management and the National Agency. He is going to make a plan of activities for each year, a list of candidates and available courses for selection. After the participants will be chosen, he will offer them different types of preparation, and get in touch with course providers in order to acquire all the materials needed for planning the mobilities. After coming from the course, the participants will be asked to write a report, complete an evaluating questionnaire and make a presentation about the course. The coordinator is responsible not only for staff familiarisation with the project progress but also for public relations. The project lasts two years which would be enough to gain, compare and assess the results of participants. Input and output language levels of staff can be checked in various ways such as a language test, certificates of attendence or participation in graduate teacher training at university. It is expected important impacts on the active involvement of the non-language staff in strategic partnerships and help to language teachers. The managements trusts that participants will use authentic materials in foreign language to enrich lessons of natural science and ICT. It is hoped that methodogical courses will bring new teaching methods which will successfully maximize learning potential of younger learners and reduce reluctance of older ones. Old students will be led to explore and become more familiar with authentic materials published in media especially on the internet. A very significant target is emphasis on the importance of education regardless of age and as well as the role of foreign languages in future career of students.
