Maintaining and Preserving Cultural Folk Traditions in the Cross-Border Area (CB TRADITIONS)
Date du début: 31 août 2010, Date de fin: 30 août 2011 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project offers an opportunity for the Vojvodinian and Hungarian juvenile groups (35-35 students) to meet, and learn the culture of the other. Since one of the target groups of the project consists of young students, we are hopeful that this generation will create longlasting friendships between the two nations, which will be nurtured, and handed over to the future generation. The present state and size of the „Creative House” (180m2) in Üllés does not satisfy the enquirers needs, therefore, during the course of the project the building needs to be expanded, and renovated. One building of the Róka-farm, situated on the Vojvodinian side – which is a chartered monument in a nature reserve territory, will need to be renewed and modernized. From the cultural perspective the project would solve Üllés’s ongoing and unsreolved problem that is the cathegorization of the folk art tokens. If successful, besides the exhibition at the Róka-farm, Üllés would also have a regular folk art exhibition of its own.In the Üllés „Creative House” members of the groups commited to the preserving of the traditions take on the task to educate their Serbian partners about the traditions, and culture of the local people. Citizens from the participating settlements take on an important role as they can take an active part during the organized events. The „Creative House” house would be open to all (180m2). Achievements: Dance performances at Ulles, Hajdukovo and Palic, renovated creative house at farm Roka in Subotica, Reconstruciton of House of Creativity in Üllés.
