The applicant of the project is an educational institution “Limited Edition”, which has its own training courses and conducts seminars in the region of Engure and Riga, Dzirciema street 26. The name of the project is “The mobility and increase of professional qualification for the workforce of education institution “Limited Edition””. The project’s main objective is to increase the professional qualification for the workforce of “Limited Edition” as well as the transfer of innovative teaching methods which would make the teaching process of “Limited Edition” more effective. The project’s main tasks: • to adopt the unique knowledge and experience of the Irish educational institute in teaching and motivating adult students; • to transfer the acquired knowledge for implementation in Latvia, Latvian regions. A sub-task is set to increase the professional development and the increase of qualification for the workforce of “Limited Edition” in the field of education. The project will attract five members with expertise in education as well as training and practical experience in a specific industry – finance, management, planning, leadership and psychology. The main activity is the study of courses and the transfer of knowledge with the aim of adopting best practices in the local curriculum. The duration of the training is 10 days, which is two working weeks; the members of the project will spend this time in Dublin. The training consists of two parts: the first one – the teaching of innovative training methods, which is attended simultaneously by all members of the project; the second part is specialized for each individual according to their specific industry. The program is based on teaching skills, self-motivation is the basis for the lesson taught in the perception of substance and personality is at the center of education as a motivator. The emphasis is on psychology, the use of practical expertise, application of experience in the application of appropriate methodology, effectiveness of training, the use of innovative methods, the use of individually tailored methods. The project’s results: • results and the acquired knowledge from the project will be freely distributed to any and all parties in free educational seminars held in Milzkalne and Riga, Dzirciema street 26; • in collaboration with the supporters of the project (regional businesses and governments) the staff of local businesses and institutions will be trained as well as other interested parties; • the increase in professional qualification, mobility and intercultural experience of project participants. Most importantly that “Limited Edition” has found unique training courses for their tutors in Ireland, which would not only better the education process but would work as an excellent motivation as well. No less important would be the exchange of experience with colleagues from Ireland to promote pedagogical growth of the project applicants’ workforce. With the support of local municipality the acquired knowledge and experience can be passed down to other Latvian tutors and interested parties.
