M-ZONE: Exploring Mental Well-being and Diversity
Date du début: 1 févr. 2016, Date de fin: 31 janv. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The "M-ZONE: Exploring Mental well-being and diversity" project, will be developed around activities that promote non-discrimination and the promotion of a meaningful life for people with mental health issues. This project will begin in February 2016 and we expect to host three volunteers from Italy and Ireland, who will be incorporated into the INTRAS Foundation's facilities placed in Valladolid, for a period of 9 months.Project partners are INTRAS Foundation (Spain), STRANAIDEA (Italy) and Eolas Soileir (Ireland). The three volunteers will be given the opportunity to collaborate in the development of training sessions and workshops for youth and adults with disabilities as well as in the Projects Department where they can participate in the dissemination of projects through new technologies and social Media. Volunteers may join the activities which are already running in the Day Center, depending on their interests and their expertice and may therefore choose between artistic, educational, sports, photography, video, cinema, cooking, agriculture, clothing, etc. The artistic, creative and non-formal education carachter of these activities makes them particularly suitable to incorporate the help of European volunteers who will always have the supervision of a professional worker. The promotion of recovery in mental health goes through the social and labor integration of people with disabilities, so volunteers will also support this process by conducting workshops focus on preparing of CVs and interviews, development of transversal skills etc. which will promote the labour integration of people with whom they work, but that will undoubtedly promote volunteers' knowledge and development of key skills useful for their labour and personal life. Through M-ZONE, participants will understand the value of their contribution to the recovery process of people with disabilities, and how their participation is important to build a more solidary, diverse and richer Europe.
