Rechercher des projets européens

Lycée Marguerite Yourcenar
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

International projects are a strong component of our school plan here at the lycée Marguerite Yourcenar and our ERASMUS+ application to achieve greater mobility at secondary level is the result of this local context. The aim of the project is to enhance the school’s international scope, develop Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), enhance teaching at a local level through a variety of teaching practices and also encourage new European projects which would be highly beneficial for our students. We are convinced that in order to achieve this objective, our staff need to have the opportunity to develop their professional competencies, which is why we wish to enable 11 members of staff to improve their professional efficacy through training. These training opportunities will be reserved for teachers who are already involved in CLIL, but also those teachers who wish to get involved in the future. The mobility scheme will enable these teachers to enhance or strengthen their level in a given language. It will also be intended for teachers who wish to take on board new teaching/learning practices. Administrative staff and headteachers who wish to strengthen ties with European partners or improve school management and functioning will be included in the mobility scheme. These staff members will be offered various types of mobilty for training for a period of one or two weeks. They will be able to attend foreign language classes in a recognised training centre or job-shadow and/or teach in a European partner school. These partnerships will be built up through distance communication and face-to-face meetings. The mobility scheme will be carefully prepared beforehand, both in the search for and the choice of host partners and in the setting out of practical arrangements (including the monitoring and the protection of participants). A linguisitic and cultural preparation will be organisized for participants before departure. Digital and online communication tools will be developed for the purposes of the scheme. The impact of our Erasmus+ project on our school and therefore on our students will be measured after each period of mobility by way of quantitative and qualitative indicators. In the short term, we hope to support the teaching and learning of European languages and cultures and diversify the educational practices in our school. We expect to see a significant rise in the number of teachers who have Europass and who also qualify for the French certificate entitling teachers of non-linguistic subjects to teach their subject through a foreign language. In the longer term, we hope to see cooperation with European partner schools strengthened so as to facilitate strategic partnerships based on the sharing of good practices. In this way, we hope to encourage our students to open up to other cultures and to the outside world, thus facilitating the construction of European citizenship. The main advantages of this project, which is based on training and European exchanges are: enhanced prestige for languages and CLIL in our school together with a more tangible approach to European issues, a better knowledge of European institutions and culture(s) and teaching practices elsewhere.
