Looking for the unicorn: storytelling as a tool to raise awareness about environment

Following a growing interest in environmental issues among partner organizations and a Youth Exchange by Concordia Aquitaine in February 2014 on sustainable consumption and training in September 2014, Concordia has decided to set up this project. The ERY Network and Alliance will be strengthened. Partnership: -International: Italy, Spain; Belarus, Ukraine, Montenegro, Russian Federation, Germany, Iceland, France -local: UFCV, Community of Municipalities, Regional Council, DRJSCS, local associations (Colibri 33, Transition, CREPAQ) Target audience: 19 Youth Programme Countries and partner countries and 3 trainers workers (2 French and Italian) 50 young people from Programme Countries and Partner Countries The following goals were set: For training: - Exchange and jointly build educational tools around the tale in animations to promote the wonder of nature and environmental awareness; -Increase the number and quality of environmental interventions in the participating associations -Strengthen capacities and knowledge of youth workers For youth exchanges: -Promote wonder at nature and environmental education for 50 youngsters -Promote active citizenship of young people in their daily life -Promote mutual understanding between young Europeans and learn to live together -Set practice new tools learned during training and enable youth workers to experiment European objectives: -Promote European citizenship -develop Solidarity and promote tolerance -Promote Intercultural and intergenerational dialogue -Promote European cooperation Methodology: We use the methods of popular education workshops, participants split into small and large mixed groups, handicraft, sharing of experience and expertise, discussions, participatory assessments ... Participants are actively involved in all phases of the project from preparation to completion. They are a group in each country to prepare for training, are active during the project and go home with tools to disseminate the final results. Impact: -Improvement Professional practices in the field of environmental education for the public affected by the various associations -Constitution of a network of European workers multipliers -Opening Minded participants
