“Long Live Diversity" is an European Voluntary Service project under Erasmus+ programme, that involves four young volunteers and two countries: Italy, headquarter of the sending and coordinating organization, ENGIM , and Albania, where the volunteers will be host under the responsibility of the Host organization QSM (Qendra Sociale Murialdo). The activity will be implemented in Fier (in the southern part of the country) and the service will last around 10 months.The main objective of the project is to promote a transnational mobility activity four young participants in order to increase their awareness of Albania and of the Albanian culture, offering them the opportunity to build international networks, to participate actively to social life and develop a sense of active citizenship and European identity.Volunteers will be involved in national and international solidarity activities concerning social inclusion, especially of children, poor people , Roma people and disabled.After the selection of candidates, based on their personal motivations, and after their initial training, volunteers, accompanied by a mentor and by QSM staff, will experience a training program in Albania through no-formal and informal learning processes that will allow them to acquire new key skills especially in social and civic issues.Volunteers will then be involved in the activities implemented by QSM aimed to support children and young people who live social difficulties (poor, Roma and disabled people mainly) to support the process of overcoming social and cultural barriers through international cooperation projects and activities, formal and informal education (school support, sports, recreational workshops, social care, home visits and school laboratories), inside and outside its facilities.The involvement of volunteers in these activities will allow their inclusion in a context of international solidarity, will raise their awareness of the responsibility of every European citizen to address the issue of poverty and marginalization, will promote the active participation in human development actions and foster tolerance and understanding of different cultures.Youthpass will be used as a tool by which evaluating and monitoring volunteers learning process and as a tool for the certification of the acquired skills.The project will offer the opportunity to four young people to enhance their skills and knowledge through non-formal and informal learning. Mentor, supervisor and QSM staff, will monitor volunteers service and adapt the timetable according with the skills and training needed. Volunteers are called to be active witnesses of their own experience in order to disseminate the results in Albania and in the home country.
