A two-year project ‘LOGIC and MATHS’ will be promoted in partnership, in which “Zespół Szkół w Lubostroniu” (Poland) is the coordinator and “Istituto Comprensivo "G Pascoli" in Riolo Terme (Italy) is a partner. 120 Polish participants and 400 Italian participants at the age of 3-14 will benefit directly from the project. There will be numerous activities taking place on various levels of education. The project actions will result with increase of key competences of participants, in accordance with participant’s abilities. The project will support abstract reasoning, creativity and logical thinking. Teachers will exchange experience with respect to teaching methods in science, esp. mathematics. The project will help to improve the quality of teaching and implementation of innovative methods. The international character of the project is the asset. We plan 35 trips during three visits. Each school will host participants from abroad at least once. The project activities include: the creation of mathematic tools for outdoor and indoor use, games with respect to the project topic: ‘LOGIC and MATHS’. There will be contests for different levels of competence. The participants will attend maths classes and make observations. There will be discussions, “school overnight stays with mathematics”, artistic contests, pervormances. The project will give input to raising interest in mathematics, deeper understanding and development of skills of application knowledge in practice. Teachers will exchange experience and the quality of teaching will grow. Language skills and the understanding of European cultural diversity will be enhanced.
