Date du début: 1 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 31 oct. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

M.A. Center Germany , Hof Herrenberg e.V. is a seminar center, that organises seminars on sustainability , intercultural dialogue , healthy lifestyles and international youth meetings. It is supported by a multi-generational and multi-national team of volunteers. EVS in M.A. Center Germany wants to offer young people the opportunity to gain skills in project management, intercultural cooperation and sustainable development, especially those who are in a situation of professional and personal orientation. The young people learn to assume social responsibility in the community life in the M.A. Center. They gain experience with German culture and language. The participating volunteers , two young women and two young men are coming from Italy and Spain. They bring different life experiences with them, (their age ranging from 17 to 29), but are all in a phase of professional and personal re/orientation. They receive instruction in the scientific foundations of sustainable development, plan sustainable projects of food-production and realize them. They learn to be in sensitive contact with animals and work on redesigning the landscape environment of the seminar center . They are involved in the planning and implementation of seminars and international youth meetings and participate in taking care of the participants . They participate in the community work and learn to cooperate with people of different ages and other cultures. They can participate in the seminars and so broaden their horizons. In all the different fields of activities, experienced and qualified instructors are available, who know, how to include the volunteers in the planning of the projects and to give them space to develop their own creative ideas. At regular meetings of the volunteers with instructors and the tutor, the results of the activities are evaluated and assessed. EVS at the seminar center certainly makes a significant contribution to the personal development of the volunteers. They acquire professional qualifications, learn to view the use of natural resources in transnational contexts and make the experience that positive changes are possible in practice. They learn to work in a team and to be considerate of other people. They gain experience with other cultures and lifestyles and develop international teamwork skills, using their initiative and responsible conduct. The sustainability projects implemented by the volunteers are intended to have an exemplary effect and can either be reproduced by the next generation of volunteers, or can be implemented in other centers in Europe. These projects represent an improvement in the quality of life of the center and highlight the idea of sustainable development as well as making the EVS well known in the region. Through the presentation of the projects in the internet, young people in other countries gain interest in the ideas of cultural collaboration and sustainability as well as of the benefits that participation in an EVS can bring.
