The project was conceive as an initiative willing to enhance an inclusive society accessible to all, which favour opportunities of integration appraising differences. Losing one’s sense of belonging to a community, can lead persons to a lack of responsibility towards society. Youth active participation has a key role in building an intercultural Europe, taking into account differences. The project aimed to develop an inclusive society, promoting inclusive values and social cohesion, inside youth NGOs and within their activities. The main objectives were: to develop a shared definition of concepts such as inclusion, human rights and anti-discrimination within youth workers of youth associations; to analyse and understand the main causes of the dynamic of exclusion and discrimination (power relations, stereotypes and prejudices, informative and physics barriers, ecc.); to ward off youth social exclusion risks, such as exclusion from education and employment, access to resources, rights, goods and high quality services (house, health, culture and justice); to strengthen the inclusiveness of volunteering and of youth associations and their potentiality of being a tool for emancipation, social inclusion and active citizenship; to raise awareness to the topic by using experiential learning methods; to give participants practice tools to combat social exclusion within their association and their communities; to provide skills to organise and realise the Living Library, as best practice to contrast stereotypes, prejudices, discrimination and exclusion; to provide knowledge and abilities on how to realise inclusive activities and communication; to share experiences and best practices in order to disseminate and spread tools in different contexts. The activity involved 30 participants, selected on the ground of their motivation in promoting an inclusive culture to facilitate integration, despite differences, starting from their associations. The educative and logistic team involved 4 people.
