Linguapeace: Language audit, ESP self-learning programme and multilingual glossary for military and police peacekeeping operations under EU and UN.
The Language of Peace : An English language training programme for international peacekeepers has been developed to meet the specialised needs of this unique target group. With an emphasis on core values and using realistic situations to generate practical tasks, the programme brings new insights into the linguistic and cultural awareness needs of those engaged in sensitive missions. It has a full set of communication tools ranging from needs analysis through to certification of achievement and is available through multimedia materials that encourage self-study. This project started in 2000 and lasted 24 months.
