„Lights and shadows – 3 steps to street performance“
Date du début: 1 mai 2016, Date de fin: 31 oct. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The main idea of the project in Kraków (July 4th - 11 th 2016) is to bring together young people from 3 European countries (24 persons, with leaders) and with non-formal education methods show and teach them that dance and theatre is something that they can enjoy together, develop their passions, try to improve non-verbal communication. This project can also open up a space to discuss various personal and social issues like: political and economic crisis, hopelessness, racism, distance between people, domestic violence, unsatisfactory school life etc. The starting point for the project will be a collection of the participant’s opinions about “lights” and “shadows” of everyday life. This “collection” can be used as the base for a dance-theater performance which will be developed during the project. The performance will be presented during the International Street Theater Festival in Kraków. The project has also other aims: get to know other cultures through presentations and discussions of participants, increase knowledge about theater, improve the skills of dance and movement, work on improving the voice emission and elocution, developing art of creation and improvisation, improving the knowledge of foreign languages, integration and work in the international group, motivating and activating young people for creative activities in which they can express their feelings and emotions. Nowadays, we can observe that young generation is increasingly closed to the other people, they are shy, uncommunicative and that they often choose virtual reality instead of real meetings. We do hope that additionally to the development and improvement of their passion, participation in the project will be a cause for self-improvement, overcoming personal barriers and fears of public speaking , expressing emotions as well as help to open up for their peers. We also hope that participants will take the challenge of spending time together, joint rehearsals and creations, and later publicly present the results of common work. For this purpose, we will use non-formal education methods , proved and developed by the participating organizations. Those methods are based on playing together, workshops, presentations and games. Participation in this projects will also have an opportunity to make new friends and get to know the culture and traditions of other countries , to learn respect for diversity cooperation in the group.
