"Light up your past, brighten your future" is an international youth exchange project that will take place from March the 14th to March the 23rd 2015 in Bassano del Grappa. The exchange will involve 36 participants aged 18 to 25 years and 6 group leaders from Spain, Romania, Albania, Macedonia, Turkey and Italy. The theme of the exchange will be the discovery of traditional crafts. The main objectives of the project are: to provide participants with the knowledge of crafts, stimulate the development of creativity, talents and practical skills, promote the employability of young people through the development of practical and manual skills, provide participants with an experience of intercultural learning, prepare for an event of knowledge of traditional crafts open to the public, to promote the mobility opportunities offered by the Erasmus +. The activities will be based on non-formal education methods and are aimed at the development of practical skills and soft skills. The groups will be directly involved in the facilitation of activities such as warm-ups, presentations and intercultural evening preparation. There will be many workshops in which participants will discover the traditional arts and crafts through direct meeting with local artisans and the manufacturing excellence in the area. Participants also will present the traditional crafts of their countries of origin. The group will have a constant contact with the population through a flash-mob with initial presentation of the project and a final event. Before the exchange each group will collect video testimonials of the traditional crafts of the 6 countries involved in the exchange and the group will prepare a video presentation of the project that will be distributed during the final event, scheduled for March 21, 2015 in the historic center of Bassano del Grappa.
