Lette goes Bilingual - PlayingCLIL zwischen Schule und Beruf
Date du début: 1 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 30 juin 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The renowned training center Lette-Verein provides young people with an excellent vocational training and offers them at he same time the opportunity to obtain the General Secondary School Certificate or the Technical College Entrance Qualification. In addition to challenging theory lessons and practice-oriented learning in the laboratory, the school also offers bilingual courses in order to prepare students for international projects or EU internships during their training and to have sound foreign language skills to master lifelong learning and working in the EU later on. The project "Lette goes bilingual - PlayingCLIL between school and work" is another tool to put our internationalization strategy into practice and to make it more tangible for colleagues and students. The approach of the "PlayingCLIL" project opens up new opportunities for colleagues to ensure higher language and subject learning outcomes, to strengthen social and communication skills and to reach new audiences. By participating in this project, we also expect our colleagues to strengthen their inter-cultural and linguistic competences and to improve their sensitivity to the linguistic dimension of professional learning. Especially, student with a multilingual background or those who are less-achieving in languages will benefit from this didactic approach as their linguistic situation is better addressed by CLIL. The participation of two teachers from different deparments and the multipliers training will help ensure that CLIL becomes an important element of language learning and vocational education at the Lette-Verein. The support provided by the training officer in the transparent selection of the participants and by the school administration in project management will also contribute to the sustainable effect of the training.
