The project titled "Let's talk about us - youth trail of national heritage" led by the University College of Tourism and Ecology - Sucha Beskidzka, Poland in co-operation with the University of Central Lancashire - Preston, England will take place from 3 to 9 March 2015. Participants of this project come from Poland and from the United Kingdom (20 people in each group). The group will comprise of young, active people, who enjoy learning through travel, cultivate their past. The main aim of this action is to promote the cultural heritage and history of Poland, as well as the United Kingdom, and explore the meaning of European citizenship by common actions of the EU Youth. Learning about culture and traditions of the two countries, cultural diversity, intercultural dialogue, creativity among young people by experiencing it, aims to strengthen mutual understanding. and better use of potential opportunities hidden in our heritage. It supports young people in finding their own European identity and promote tolerance, whilst at the same time raising European awareness and motivating young people to take active steps to improve their future in the EU. We want to use the following methods in the project: language workshops run by the participants, outdoor activities, integration games and thematic trips to surrounding regions of Sucha Beskidzka, Krakow, Zakopane. We will organize meetings and discussion panels with interesting people, we will also promote mixed events, including music entertainment, sport competitions, seminars and brain storming activities. Outcomes of this project are to experience hospitality, culture and traditions of the Malopolska region by the British group, enabling the Polish counterparts to see their own culture through the eyes of the guests. This should lead to raising tolerance and opening to the others, as well as increasing understanding of heritage of the country. For a summary of the project is planned to create a website where you will be placed in the information developed during our meeting, including information developed by our youth's cultural heritage trail, photos, descriptions, and an invitation to work for other people (not just young) visitors to our site. Through the planned activities are going to reach out to a larger audience in the form of the local community and beyond. As a continuation of our activities we are planning another meeting in England already in the enlarged group of partners, where we plan to develop further youth trail of national heritage in Lancashire, and in the future to create a network of youth trail of national heritage in Europe and beyond. We hope that our project will be a great initiative to take our proposed topic for the young around the world.
