Proyecto Kieu is a NGO that develops it's main activities through persons working voluntarily. This project is following the strategy of volunteer work in our organization. Through the participation of the European youngsters in our activities we are promoting volunteering in our community. With this project we want to arouse the curiosity and the motivation of the youngsters in our village about this way of social participation, strengthen the European voluntary service among youth people and generate new opportunities of personal development. The European Voluntary Service mainly develops itself in contact with the youngster of the participating villages. That is why the persons directly related with this projects are two young German girls, 18 and 20 years old. Both candidates were selected by both sending and hosting organizations according to their CV's and motivation letters. Both candidates show big interest in carrying out a voluntary service in our country related with social, educational and youth matter. This project will run for 9 months in two different villages. Numancia de La Sagra and Borox in Central Spain; its main goal has been to increase the participation of youth in our local context. In the context of our county, La Sagra, the goal has been to promote volunteer and European youth projects among different villages and taking account of this project results to involve different municipalities in new alliances with Proyecto Kieu. Thanks to this project new youngsters in our area has know the European and youth activities that PK is promoting in the area. Franzi Sing, volunteer in Borox, started her service along 2014 July, first week; Filiz Altinklic started her service two months latter; since then, until the end of their service, they have been in contact with the local youngsters. Both volunteers have carried out different sets of tasks including the design and implementation of all kind of socio-cultural activities with youngsters, elders, kids in cooperation with other associations and collectives in town. All of them with the aim of fostering youth interest towards social participation as a way to develop themselves both professional and personal. To carry through the project activities we have used PK's "learning by doing" methodology. That means, from the point of non formal education, youngsters acquire the necessary resources and learning tools to take initiatives by themselves. With the help of the weekly evaluations they will learn to take responsibility step by step along the service towards independence. In Numancia and Borox the presence of the volunteers has been teaching the local youngsters about the differences of cultures and importance of participate and multilingualism. This effects are also starting to happen in the German volunteers origin villages.
