This project consists in the implementation of a five days cycle of conferences called "Let's make Europe ours" (one-day each), aimed at raising awareness to specific groups of young people toward the European Institutions and policies, and at the same time, contacting those responsible for the design and implementation of youth policies with young people so that the last ones will be able to their needs and concerns for a better design and implementation of youth policies. The five groups of young people that we have selected are: 1) University students, 2) Job training students, 3) Young athletes, 4) High School students and, 5) Young artists. The structure of the events would be similar all the five days and it consists of the following blocks of two hours duration each: a) Historical introduction of the integration process, b) Presentation of the European Institutions and the interaction with them, c) European policies and programs affecting the targeted group, and d) A round table discussion in which young people will be in contact with the responsible people for the implementation of European policies. Concerning the contents: a) In the first part, it is intended to help attendees develop knowledge about the historical process of European integration, with particular emphasis on the difficult times that has been crossed, with the objective that young people realized that the European Union has gone through many difficulties until the present time, and has always come more enhanced after periods of crisis. b) In the second of the blocks attendees will be introduced to the European Institutions and law, and the ways that exits in order to interact with the Institutions and people that work for the European Union. c) In third place it will be presented the European policies that can have an impact on the specific group of attendees, and d) In the last session, it is going to take place a meeting between young people and politicians and responsible people for the implementation and design of youth policies so that the attendees will be able to their needs and concerns for a better design and implementation of youth policies.
