The general objective of the project is to increase the competitiveness in the area for competition in the global economy. In order to achieve this strategic aim partners seek to improve the infrastructural and organizational conditions and the quality of education for mentally disabled children and youth while pursuing artistic professions. Expected Results: The activities involve the modernisation of school buildings in Giżycko and Alytus, purchase of teaching equipment for the school in Giżycko, improvement of teaching techniques and methods, and finally organization of numerous events: 2 meetings on the modernisation and energy efficiency in historical buildings, 2 conferences for teachers working with mentally disabled students and 2 five-day joint art workshops for mentally disabled students.
