The European Voluntary Service project "Let's grow together" will connect a young German volunteer and children enrolled in public primary schools in Nevers. This is a long-term EVS (11 months). The reception of the volunteer is scheduled from 1st September 2016 to 31st July 2017 in Nevers, France. In addition to partner organizations absolutely necessary for the project - host organisation / coordinating and sending organisation - , the project involves schools in the city.Integrated into the animation team managed by our coordinators, our volunteer will have to establish educational, cultural, artistic or sporting activities, initiation to foreign languages. She will be accompanied by professionals in the design, organisation and implementation of each activity.This first mission will keep the volunteer busy on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.Wednesday, she will be integrated to the youth mission. There she will implement intercultural activities, language workshops, participate in radio programs or any other event related to international mobility issues, European citizenship, discovering of cultures in collaboration with two other volunteers.Finally, she may, if she so wishes, set up a personal project related to the activities of the city of Nevers in the sectors of education, childhood, youth, sports, music, promotion of heritage.The main objectives of this project are:- Promoting openness and tolerance through better knowledge of other cultures.- Promote youth civic engagement in Europe- Show the importance of mastering more than one language.The essential values that we wish to transmit through our actions are altruism, tolerance, respect, solidarity and humanism.For this project, we looked for a volunteer who shares these values, would like to transmit them, which is creative and love to communicate with children.
