Project „Let’s go to dance!” Integrating the Polish, Hungarian and Ukrainian youth community through dance. The group of Polish young people from the countryside region, whose access and possibilities of the cultural, sport and social development are limited due to the economic situation, access to the means of transport, language barrier, lack of people within the community willing to organise social events, are making an 11 day international youth meeting in Poland. The meeting gives an opportunity to develop and to confront their knowledge on the foreign culture, take part in an international cultural integration process which role is underestimated especially in the countryside region. The participants of the meeting : Poles- 10 people + leader, Ukrainians- 10 people + leader, Hungarians- 10 people + leader ( all the participants from Hungary and Ukraine come from the countryside region and small towns) The main theme: Our traditional national dances. The main goal is to enable young people from the various communities taking an active part in social, sport, culture and entertainment activities to make them aware of the cultural differences and develop their respect for other cultures. The goal procedure includes: discussions, mini-lectures, workshops, group work activities, drama, simulations and games. Objectives: - the participants learn about cultural differences of their native countries - the participants develop their knowledge on culture and habits (especially on traditional dances)and sport and recreation activities. - developing intercultural competence and raise awareness of the cultural differences - improving the participants’ physical condition - gaining more self-esteem and developing social skills - enhancing mutual cooperation and building closer relationships between the participants - motivating the members of the Aleksandrow countryside commune to take more vivid actions for the European integration.
