We are a bilingual education center of Preprimary, Primary, Special and Secondary education, located in a small village in the southwest of the Community of Madrid, named Navas del Rey, with a high level of immigration and few educational and cultural resources. Most of our students, after finishing the compulsory education, go on to Vocational education or enter the workforce. This initial work-search is difficult in Spain, where the high rates of unemployment affect mainly the youth. And even more when they have such low levels of education. For this reason we are working hard to improve the working opportunities of our students, giving them a bilingual education, developing new methods or approaches related to ICT and providing them with information about other countries which could be new destinations for them to work. Our experience over the last years has shown a necessity to improve the educative competency of our teachers in relation with the European reality and also related with the use of English as a foreign language.With this project we would like to improve the aptitude of our teachers and administrative staff on the subject of English linguistics and subject matter. We also expect to improve our capabilities in specific methodology of bilingual education and the knowledge about the management of other European educative centers.In order to achieve this, we will arrange four training activities:1- Training for improvement of English language: four teachers- one of preprimary education, one of primary education, one of secondary education and one from the senior team, in Malta.2- Specific training on the teaching of English as a foreign language: one teacher (primary education) in the UK.3- Specific training on CLIL methodology: one teacher (primary or secondary) in the UK.4- Job shadowing in accordance with school management: aimed at the senior team, in Belgium and The Netherlands.With this project we expect to improve the teacher level of English in our school, update the teaching methodology in our school and know different ways of school management. In this way we will be able better respond to necessities of our bilingual school. The assessment will consist of a study of previous knowledge and the process development. We will redirect the project if we detect that it is necessary.We expect a high impact in our school and its environment, in an individual and overall levels. With this project we will have a stronger teacher staff. It also will provide us with tools to participate in international cooperation activities in the future.The results of this project will benefit our educative community and the school environment. The entire process will have a space in e-twinning. Thus, the information will be accessible for all the teachers.
