The "Let's build Europe together!" was a partnership project between adult education organisations from the United Kingdom, France, Luxembourg, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovenia and Turkey. It brought together organisations that had previously been active mostly in the field of non-formal education for young people. This project enabled them to focus on adult audience, gather existing resources, share know-how, exchange experience and develop new learning tools to be used with adult learners. The theme of the project was European citizenship and European awareness. The end goal was to find new and innovative ways to teach adults about European affairs, make them reflect about European citizenship and promote critical thinking about European integration. At the Kick-Off Meeting in Slovenia, all the partnership organisations met for the first time. We discussed details of the project, got to know more about the way of working of each organisation and exchanged the existing know-how. After the Kick-Off Meeting, we prepared several innovative methodological tools and simulation games to be used with adult learners. There were then four European Citizenship Weeks, organised in Luxembourg, Czech Republic, France and the UK. These international seminars brought together adult learners from various European countries. The methodology developed within this project was used during these seminars. We gathered feedback from adult learners and improved the methodology as we went along. It was also an opportunity for various facilitators and staff members from the organisations to try working with adult learners on this topic. The adult learners were also involved after their participation in the seminar. We offered them further opportunities to use their skills and get involved in promoting European citizenship. The Evaluation Meeting in Italy brought together representatives of the partnership organisation to evaluate the whole project and finalise the results.
