The project consists of a long-term hosting Group EVS in Italy by Casa per la Pace: three volunteers (Irene from Spain, Ksenia from Russia, and Yura from Ukraine) will be hosted in Milan, Italy, and will work on the topic of peace and the promotion of non-violent solutions of conflicts. The Spanish candidate (Irene) is already involved in social theater and is interested in the Theatre of the Oppressed that we offer. As she is interested in human rights and peace, she studies a Masters in Education, Peace and Social Inclusion, and she studied a semester in the Netherlands about children rights, and also did an internship in Portugal with disadvantaged children. The Russian candidate (Ksenia) has benn volunteer for many years with young people and mentally handicapped children, she participated in some international exchanges in the US, Czech Republic and in Italy, near Milan. She is interested in working with immigrants too. She studied World History in the Moscow public University. The third candidate - Ukrainian (Yura) - was chosen due to prior contact with the Institute of Ukrainian Studies of Lviv, wich they are partners in a Training Course that we organise, in which he will probably participate. He will develop his computer skills, qualities as a trainer, and his passion for travel and photography. The volunteers will be busy helping with the activities of the association in the office as well as inside schools with pupils of different age (from 6 years to 19 years old) based on a non-formal education approach. The volunteers will start the project in September 2015 and will work for 11 months. Our overall objectives are: - Educate and inform volunteers for peace capable of understanding the local reality and ready to pland and implement interventions on issues of peace, conflict at micro (interpersonal level), meso (social level) and macro (disarmament and peace education) - Development of a communication network on these issues.
