Les Travailleurs de Jeunesse à l’épreuve de la Démocratie participative: quelles stratégies face aux jeunes ?
Date du début: 15 août 2016, Date de fin: 14 janv. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Consultation (or participative democracy) is to implement actions (meetings, public workshops, quiz ...) to organize the participation of citizens in the life of their community, their department or region, including asking them their opinion before the decision by elected officials. The consultation aims to involve citizens in the preparation of public decisions. It has become a commonplace: representative democracy is in crisis. Whether national or local, elected mostly suffer from a legitimacy deficit, as chosen by a minority of citizens. So be living democracy otherwise inventing new forms of deliberation and new areas of decision. Youth workers must take over to bring this debate to young people and thus free speech. It is the goal of this training for youth workers to exchange views on the promotion of democracy. This training project is aimed at young workers and leaders of associations in order to create tools and promote ideas on how to deal with the themes of democracy, social inclusion and civic skills in a European context. And it will be done through the exchange of experience and diversity of learning in practical phases.Ultimately, we work so that young people become more effective promoters of democracy! As youth workers, project leaders and managers working directly with young people, we have the power to make a change in our own community. But, unconsciously, we do not always follow some sound principles of democracy. When we say that our young people are fully involved ... we actually say what to do and think! This training aims to question ourselves, to practice and learn the tools to be more effective promoter of democracy - and this an exciting and interesting way.In this course, we will discuss the opportunities and challenges of a European democratic society. The project will offer discussions and workshops that will give participants a broader and deeper understanding of the European dimension when it comes to democracy, inclusion and communication. The methods used are workshops, discussions and reflection using the experience and questions from participants. Methods such as deep democracy, Plan B and Open Space will support the process. Cooperation and THE future networks will be offered to participants, including new skills to work with young people both locally and in international youth projects. This training project will bring together 29 youth workers and Cognac association leaders from 17 to 23 October 2016 to support the process of democracy to young people.
