Les jeunes enfants, la littérature de jeunesse et l'interculturalité: ça se passe comment en Suède ? Young children, youth literature and interculturality: how does it look in Sweden ?
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Young children, youth literature and interculturality : how does it look in Sweden ? On the outskirts of Caen, Normandy, the Ecole Paul Fort in Ifs employs 7 teachers, 9 educational staff and one secretary and accommodates 200 children aged 3-6. We observe that the children of our classes show interest in the lives of children elsewhere in the E.U, while there remain strong stereotypes and misrepresentations of difference and diversity. Our investment in an Erasmus+mobility project is meant to improve the pratices and the quality of the teaching in our school, to develop its cultural opening on the world, build a collective European feeling and improve our English language skills. This project supported by the entire team concerns two teachers personally interested and active in the field of social and cultural diversity; M Gauchard was mayor of Ifs (2008-2014). The success of the Scandinavian social and school model fascinates us, that’s why we chose Sweden. During the mobility period (November 2nd – November 13th 2015) we have observed our colleagues’ practices in a Förskola and set up activities with the children around Youth literature, perform scenes from the books and produce an animation movie. The Erasmus+ mobility project improves the teachers’ skills and provides the children with the necessary tools to fully take part in European society. The two teachers’ intentions is to transmit the benefits of their experience and make it thrive.
