In the era of development communication routes, the constantly increasing number of road users and the rush of everyday life, police officers to ensure public (traffic) order and safety risk their health and lives every day. Many hours of service on the road, thousands of driven kilometers, differentiated tasks that need to be taken, and also the public expectations require them to accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement of their skills. To meet the needs of security-relevant road users, including police officers being in the line of duty, efforts to create manpower and educational base in improving the skills of safe driving duty (police) cars and learning safe driving techniques have been taken. Exposing the risks associated with the driving of emergency vehicles often in difficult road and weather conditions especially in the curse of situations related to the execution of specific police tasks(eg, car chase), as well as removal of bad driving habits are going to improve the traffic security. In addition, increase the efficiency of the performed police service on the roads results in a positive assessment of the image of the police in the public. ?Learning to teach? is the keynote of the project and its purpose ? the ability to acquire and/or enhance the knowledge and experience, as well as the transfer of skills for police driving instructors, driving techniques instructors and lectors for the further process and the subsequent stages of training. The participants of the project will be a total of 40 police officers (mainly from areas: Regional Police Headquarters ? Lodzkie and Lubuskie), mostly experienced driving instructors and driving techniques instructors and also they will acted as multipliers in the further local professional development. The project will be the nature of professional training, where participants will be able to use previously acquired skills and knowledge, and through observation and direct consultation with German trainers, take advantage of valuable advice, best practices, tips, also use professional training base, facilities in order to verify their own skills. The role of German instructors will be simulation difficult situations, observation of activities of students, correcting errors in driving technique and eliminating inappropriate reactions, as well as the transfer of proven and effective tools and methods of teaching in this field, in particular: - creating opportunities to experience new situations, learn new skills in a safe environment training track; - have a better understanding posses of techniques and tactics fast and safe driving skills in the range of difficult traffic situations; - checking their reactions in simulated emergencies / reminder of some skills considering the deteriorating with age psychometry efficiency; - a better understanding of the capabilities and limitations of the vehicle; - confronting his driving techniques and teaching methods with other drivers and instructors knowledge. The project will run through the appropriate division of tasks between the partners and working groups, contract management, adopted a system of cooperation and communication within the project, developed risk management mechanism, as well as ongoing monitoring. Planned activities refer to the actual capabilities and human resources, organizational, technical and financial parties involved and based on their experience and developed over the years of good practices. It is expected that as a result of the project, 40 Polish police officers will gain the knowledge and qualification required for the transfer of skills and the development of appropriate attitudes among the other officers in the area of the service, firs off all (in the first part) among traffic police officers . These people are the backbone of human resources for the implementation of further training plans (in the lodzki region relating to the approximately 4-thousandth of the target group), and in the case of start training at the central level - to supply personnel for the program nationwide. Better trained police officers mean: better safety on the roads, more effective business tasks, faster response time, greater sense of security in society. It should be also mentioned: fewer accidents and incapacity of the health of the officers, fewer insurance claims, faulty vehicles and less financial burden on the budget of the individual. These benefits should emerge in the long-term follow-up, and their importance may be reflected in European statistics.
