The project is aimed at young people in a vocational school and commercial training with an emphasis on languages. During their internship in the host countries, the students will get the chance to put their practical and theoretical knowledge into operation in a foreign company using their selected target language. The participants have an average educational achievement level of education and are in the middle of a vocational training affected by indirect or direct future unemployment on a labour market on which any additional qualification increases the prospect of employment. On the one hand the participants have been academically prepared in the relevant subjects at school to perform their internships well, on the other hand an external native speakers will familiarize them with specific features of the host country to eliminate stumbling blocks before they occur and influence the internship negatively.The participants go through a selective process which determines their suitability and is intended to prevent premature termination of the internship. At the same time we would like to make sure that the motivation is real and a personal contribution i.e. commitment, is expected. The main coordinator is in contact with all foreign partners and informs them about the skills of the participants, clarifies the possibilities of monitoring on site and defines the expectation horizon of the participants. Similarly the opportunities for well elaborated and qualified evaluation of the internship will be clarified.The participants will acquire knowledge in the foreign language, which would not be possible to acquire in the routine of a normal day at school, furthermore they use their knowledge and skills in the foreign language and thus gain confidence to tackle the next steps in their vocational training successfully. An internship abroad is and will remain an important element both in life as well as in the professional life of a young person.The experiences gathered with people from other, even if in some cases only slightly different cultural backgrounds, structurally changes the way of thinking about other people and countries and promotes tolerance and solidarity with them.Working together and the efforts concerning a common communication in a mutual language create common ground that connects actors in problem-solving strategies and create acceptance of culturally and socially different circumstances .
