Project partners from Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia and the UK worked together to develop and promote a new approach to learning specifically targeting older adults. Acknowledging a shift towards learner-centred education, partners agreed upon a pan-European approach that engages older people at every step of the learning process. Project activities centred round the development and testing of individual modules and directly involved older learners as end beneficiaries. Project outcomes included a (democratic) process for the development of new learning opportunities alongside related development resources, including the Lena Handbook.
