EUTV focuses on four main activities: - the “EUTV Contest” for eight high schools classes from Trentino Province. The matches are based on a question and answer format and structured as follows: the first part will address general knowledge on the EU and its history and its geographic characteristics; the second part will concern the EU institutions and policies; in the third part students will answer questions concerning today’s European political leaders or the EU founding fathers. The contest phase will be preceded by some formative sessions by University professors and students (the “coaches” – see further);- Training course for high school teachers held by professors of the University of Trento, that will present the newest and most innovative tools through which the EU can be taught in the high schools (and beyond) (simulations, role plays, social media, massive open online courses, webinars, wiki, EU-Tube, etc.);- Training course for university students, who will act as “coaches” for the classes joining the contest. University students will help the high schools classes in their preparation, and will explain to them the rule of the game.
