"Learning from our European colleagues"
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

ROC de Leijgraaf is a Vocational College, a modern and market-orientated organization that has excellent contacts with companies in the region. Our region has many international businesses in technics, logistics and agriculture. ROC De Leijgraaf likes to play its part in this field by giving young students a chance to pick up international experiences. That is the reason for this application. ROC De Leijgraaf has about 4,000 students in day-time education, of which some 1.5 to 2 % go abroad for an international internship. This number includes the non-funded internships. Our College certainly would like to reach the 6% target in 2020, as stated by Brussels. In the next 2 years we aim for 150 students to complete an international internship (also including non-funded internships). We would like to achieve this in being a good and transparent organization as well as a different approach of higer- and lower-level students. The upper-level students are invited individually to do an international internship, and the lower-level student are especially encouraged to join in as part of a group of students. In order to increase the number of international internships we established international connections with Turkey and the Gambia. This application explicitly also counts for staff-mobility. Aquisition among our personnel at the end of 2014 resulted in more than 30 requests for exchange programms abroad. A rather unique number for us sofar. The content of the applications vary: from getting a better understanding of a foreign language to learning other teaching methods, quality systems and types of organization. To enable these fields of research we extended our contacts recently with Finland, Malta and Turkey. We hope that at least 30 colleagues will be able to visit countries abroad in the next 2 years. We think we are on the right track to achieve this goal.
