The EVS project "Learn together" involves 3 volunteers from Germany, Macedonia and Lithuania and is a result of a partnership between the three NGOs: Casa do Povo (Portugal), FAIRbund (Germany), SFERA (Macedonia), Deineta (Lithuania). Project activities will take place in Câmara de Lobos over the period of 9 months (1 November 2017 - 31 December 2016). The project is targeted to develop non-formal educational activities to tackle youth unemployment, involve youth to civic activism and to strenghten their connection to the essense of European citizenship.Main activities planned for EVS volunteers include: - help in organizing and developing non-formal learning programs for the local youth;- organize regular career planning workshops covering job search, resume writing and job-interviewing for youth;- organize "Career Days" with participation of universities and colleges, commercial companies, organizations and public bodies; - organize workshops on basics of social entrepreneurship, crowdfunding, fundraising and charity initiatives;- organize free foreigh language cources etc.Planned Methods: leading discussion groups and intercultural workshops; project design, management and implementation; facilitating sharing information and collaboration between organizations; conducting master-classes and language clubs; development of future EVS opportunities for Portuguese youth.As a result of the project, we expect to boost employability of young people and development of the local community. Besides, we want to become an example for other cities in the region in terms of creation of a self sustained youth community. Together with spreading the information we expect to acquire more interested people from other towns and cities of Madeira archipelago and thus get more target audience and involvement. Also we expect that by strenghtening our authority and image we will boost our cooperation with other organizations and governmental bodies on the regional, national and European levels and with joint efforts get even bigger positive impact.
