Learn Connect Express
Date du début: 1 août 2016, Date de fin: 30 avr. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The idea of the youth exchange "Learn Connect Express" was developed during the training course "Visual innovative tools for youth workers" . In the frames of the project "Learn Connect Express", we have foreseen one activity, which will take place on 1-11 September in Buzhakan Armenia. Generally 6 organizations are involved in the project. Each organization will send 6 participants + 1 leader based on the preliminary agreement among the partners. Here are the countries involved: Denmark, Armenia, Greece, Lithuania, Ukraine and Georgia. “Learn Connect Express” is a youth exchange on Intercultural learning and visual thinking. During the youth exchange we are going to tackle such topics as Identity, Intercultural dialogue, Intercultural communications, culture based conflicts and non-violent communication. The activity will also give opportunity to participants to send their messages to the world using different visual thinking tools, such as graphic recording, visual story-telling and stop motion animation. The following objectives were established to be achieved as a result of this youth exchange- To improve participants' Intercultural communication skills- To provide to participants' knowledge and skills on non violent communication- To raise participants' awareness on Intercultural sensitivity- To reinforce participants' conflict management skills- To improve and or develop participants' visual thinking skills- To empower participants to disseminate messages on social coherence, acceptance and culture of peaceThe main educational approach of the youth exchange will be based on experiential learning style. Within the experiential learning cycle, participants first take part in activities, report and reflect on their observations and insights, then create a link to reality and finally apply what they have learned. Eventually, every learning experience should lead to changing participants’ thoughts/behaviour and/or their initiating activities to make a difference in their environment. This educational approach is always learner-centered, engaging and active, and should be fun for participants as well. One can also sum up “experiential learning” with the four dimensions of cognitive, emotional, attitudes- or values-based (behavioural) and skills-based learning. We expect that as a result of this youth exchange participants will develop or reinforce their knowledge, skills and attitude on such important and vital topics as Intercultural sensitivity, Intercultural communication, conflict management, non violent communication, as well as specific skills on visual thinking tools, such as poster making, creating a stop motion animation, Gifs and stencils. At the same time we expect that participants will be empowered to apply their knowledge in their daily life, personal and professional relationships, as well as to "infect" the societies they live in.The long term benefits of this project are the participants that going to become multipliers in their societies and organizations, not only in terms of the man topics of the activity but also in terms of gained skills on visual thinking, which they can use in their later work in the organizations, universities and other ways of participation.
