LEARN ABOUT FINDING JOBS FROM DIGITAL STORYTELLING

In the European documents related to employability, to transition from school to work, orthe ones related to relevance of qualification on labour market, with direct impact onredesigning the offers of higher education institutions within the Bologna Process, theconcern is to find solutions for facilitating integration into the labour market of younggraduates.The project tries to find a possible solution to this problem, by bringing togetheryoungsters that are going to graduate, with the ones graduating recently, and alreadyemployed, and facilitating learning from older colleagues digital story telling about jobfinding. This idea responds also to one of the quality criteria universities have to prove,regarding evidences about insertion into labour market of their graduates. By makingthe alumni community functional in this way, the universities have indirectly theopportunity to check the relevance on labour market of their offer. When viewedtogether, the digital stories tell us the bigger story of our time about finding a job, indifferent domains and countries. In the project web 2.0 social community of students,universities, students graduated recently and already employed and employers from Ro,DE, DK, IT, FR students can ask, learn and receive feedback in a familiar way. Also, bya comparative analysis of students’ and employers’ needs and expectations, as well asthrough the digital stories, the transferable success factors that will be linked to anonline e-Portfolio pod cast guide, and a Good Practice Guide will be identified,developed as outcomes of this project in English, as well as translated into partnerlanguages.These guides and ePortfolios examples could be useful for students that are going tograduate to learn, in an accessible way, how they can approach the (European) labourmarket more successfully. Such Web 2.0 tools are concrete examples of making theEuropean Area of Higher Education vivid, by sharing experiences and learning fromeach other
