Our school is situated on the northern outskirts of Blois and is multi-cultural. Recent studies have highlighted disparities within the school which we would like to diminish. The staff would like to take up the European project in order to achieve various goals through a common means: To motivate pupils who are on the verge of dropping out of the education system, to promote awareness of European Citizenship, to discover new technology and to learn the English language.Six out of the seven full time teachers would like to take part in the Erasmus project and training.The desired training would revolve around the methodologies of language learning particularly at infant level, perfecting the English language, mastering new technology and discovering different educational systems within the teaching environment. This project reflects long term commitment from virtually all of the staff. The end results of this project would be the putting in place of a European media reference system along with European exchanges via etwinning, the enrichment of the school internet site, common programming and flexible and dynamic teaching methods.The improvement of the different ways of evaluating pupils' skill acquisition would be the benchmark for our evaluation of the results of the project, through which we would hope to reduce the number of children dropping out of education and to implicate our school in a long term and strong sense of belonging to the European Community.
