Funding has been used to finance the preparation of design documentation. As a result,a multifunctional bicycle path has been constructed that promotes flood protection,stronger nature protection collaboration and a new transport infrastructure betweenthe two countries. The project also aims at the preservation of natural resources by promotingenvironmentally friendly transportation and the use of eco-friendly means of transportation inthe border area contributing to the improvement of the existing transport infrastructure. Theprojects most important goals included the facilitation of safe and eco-friendly transportationand the development of environmental awareness in the public.
