The project aimed at the preparation of technical design permit documentationand feasibility study for the 3.8-km-long and 6-meter-wide section of the crossborderroad in Hungary, connecting Tiborszallas and Berveni. The projects longtermobjective is to promote stronger cross-border economic, trade and culturalrelations between people living on the two sides of the border with the help of moderninfrastructure. As the distance between Tiborszallas and Berveni will be shortened by30-40 km, the funding also contributes to the development of cross-border economic,tourist, commercial and cultural relations as well as the improvement of social interactionbetween people living on the two sides of the border.
