Objectif général :Issus d'une même entité géologique, les territoires du Parc naturel régional des Caps et Marais d'Opale (PNRCMO) et le Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Naturel Beauty (KDAONB) partagent des types dhabitats naturels en commun.Ces territoires partagent ainsi les mêmes enjeux et défis en termes de préservation de ces paysages protégés regroupant espaces bocagers, zones humides, bois et forêts, coteaux calcaires, littoral de falaises et zones côtières. Lobjectif du projet LNA est de préserver et valoriser la richesse et la spécificité de ce patrimoine naturel transmanche. Le projet sert de support à l'animation d'un réseau transmanche entre les AONBs du Sud de l'Angleterre et les PNRs du Nord Ouest afin de développer les projets bi ou multilatéraux entre ces organismes dont les objectifs sont similaires en termes de gestion équilibrée de l'environnement. Principales actions :- Actions de maintien et de restauration dhabitats calcicoles, dhabitats forestiers et de zones humides.- Actions de maintien et de restauration de lhabitat des chauves souris et des vipères péliades.- Création et restauration de corridors écologiques.- Amélioration de limplication des habitants et des acteurs locaux.- Amélioration des connaissances et sensibilisation sur la préservation des paysages.- Amélioration des conditions daccès pour tous publics sur les espaces naturels sensibles.- Animation dun réseau transfrontalier PNRs / AONBs.- Etudes de recherche appliquée autour dhabitats et despaces clés (pelouses calcicoles, mares etc.).----------------Main objective : Whilst separated by the English Channel, the landscape and natural heritage of the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (KD AONB) and the Parc Naturel Régional des Caps et Marais d'Opale (PNR CMO, Nord Pas de Calais) arise from the same geological base.Both regions share the same aims and objectives with regard to the conservation of these protected landscapes, which are both made up of farmed landscapes, wetlands, woodlands, chalk grasslands, cliffs and coastal areas. The main aim of the LNA project is the conservation and enhancement of the richness and specificities of this cross-channel natural heritage. This project also supports a cross-border network between the AONBs from southern England and the PNRs of North West France in order to develop further bi or multi-lateral projects with similar objectives of a balanced management of the environment.Main actions :- Management and restoration of chalk grasslands, woodlands and wetlands- Management and restoration of bats and adders habitat- Creation and Restoration of Ecological Corridors- Improving community involvement (inhabitants and local actors)- Improving knowledge and raising awareness on landscapes conservation- Access improved in sensitive natural sites- Coordination of a cross-border network between the Parcs Naturels Régionaux and the Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty- Research Studies concerning key species and habitats (chalk grasslands, ponds etc). Achievements: Principales réalisations et résultats :- 7 plans de conservation par pâturage réalisés pour les habitats calcioles.- 15 événements pour les enfants organisés (5 promenades guidées, 3 promenades en vélo, 5 chantiers nature, 2 rencontres etc.) ; 400 arbres plantés par 657 enfants de 26 écoles.- 8 bénévoles impliqués dans le schéma « Pond Warren » et 10 bénévoles impliqués dans la rénovation de la mare de St.Marys School.- 1 session de capture de chauves-souris organisée ; 5 suivis de sites par le CSN ; 10 suivis par le MVPC et 1 session de formation réalisée.- 4 chantiers nature transfrontaliers réalisés en France ; 9 événements organisés (projet « Promener et sémerveiller », journée sur la découverte de larchéologie de Perry Wood etc.) ; 13 projets réalisés (plantation de haies, entretien dune mare etc.).-1 échange transfrontalier réalisé à Site Evegate avec le Lycée agricole de Coulogne.- 5 sites aménagés pour améliorer les conditions daccès.- 1 rencontre organisée sur la thématique du tourisme durable (Londres – 2010)- 1 étude réalisée des mares dans le Kent Downs AONB----------------Main achievements :- Realization of 7 conservation grazing schemes for chalk habitats- Organization of 15 children-oriented events (5 guided tours, 3 bicycle rides, 5 nature events, 2 meetings etc.); 400 trees planted by 657 children from 26 schools- 8 volunteers involved in the Pond Warren scheme and 10 volunteers involved in the renovation of the St Marys School pond- Organization of a bat trapping session; 5 sites monitored by the CSN, 10 by the MVPC and 1 training session realized- 4 cross-border nature events organized in France; Organization of 9 events (Promener et sémerveiller project, Discovery Perry Wood Archaeology event etc.); Implementation of 13 projects (hedge planting, pond conservation etc.)- 1 cross-border exchange realized in Site Evegate with the Lycée agricole of Coulogne- 5 sites upgraded to improve sites access - 1 meeting organized around the theme of sustainable tourism (London – 2010)- A study realized on ponds in the Kent Downs AONB
