“Lab Europe” aims at promoting an European Active Citizenship among youth , improving their awareness about EU institutions mechanism and the importance of participation as European citizen. The project will involve 130 youngsters aged between 18 and 30 years in activities of structured dialogue. Participants will experience through Non Formal Education how the EU institutions do work and how citizens can participate to the decisional process. A simulation of the EU Parliament will be setted up during the transnational seminar held in Italy. Through this event a session of structured dialogue will be activated: participants will produce a final document to be discussed with the decision-makers involved in the project. It will make youth aware of a wide range of opportunities that EU citizenship can offer (such as mobility programmes) and thanks to comparison with another EU country they will have a deeper understanding of being EU citizens.
