This project aims at enhancing the internationalization dimension of Priego-Montilla Teacher Training Centre, which would like to become an example of good practice in this field in the southern area of the province of Córdoba. The main guidelines of this institutional initiative are plurilingualism and the scientific and methodological training of Andalusian teachers, which are crucial in the context of the educational policies of the Consejería de Educación of the Junta de Andalucía. Priego-Montilla Teacher Training Centre has got a staff consisting of ten teacher training advisors, three of whom have been actively involved in the mobilities and academic stays abroad (course attendance in the context of the so-called KA1), so as to improve their didactic and linguistic skills and to gain useful knowledge that have helped them design and implement new courses aimed at the teachers working at schools in our area. Over the last two academic years, these teacher training advisors have attended training courses focusing on methodology, which have allowed them to mature professionally and to apply their new knowledge to their daily work in their institution. As to the expected results, we have managed to foster team work in our institution, to improve the training paths in the field of plurilingualism and the continual updating of teachers' teaching skills, to enhance innovation in the teaching and learning of languages, to design a plurilingualism training path common to all three Teacher Training Centres in the province of Córdoba, and to improve the linguistic and intercultural competence of the Teacher Training Advisors. As to the impact and long-term advantanges of this project, we think our institution has been able to improve the training processes in the field of plurilingualism and acquired a new European dimension, so that it is ready to get involved in new cooperation projects with other institutions concerned with education.
