Our project is an encounter between young French and youg Bulgarian people, during one week in July. Nearly all the young of our groupe will participate to this exchange (16 participants for a total of 19), which represents truely a huge opportunity for young people in their age (14 to 17 years old) who are in a phase of personality construction. The programm of the encounter slowly took form, integrating the requirements of both partner groups and allowing mutual discovery.The participative approach permits the young to model the project following their discovery needs. The method used for the preparation of this project is the same as for former projects (3 weeks itinerant hicking in Corsica, restoration of a medieval building in the Pyrennees, help for disabled people, ...). Meaning: - A participative approach where everybody can express its will - Self-surpassing - Responsabilisation througn research or preparation missions - Collective decision through vote This project inscribes in the global self-surpassing dynamic of our group. It will allow every participant to: - Developp listing skills, a sharing and tolerance spirit, a respect for the traditions and uses of all countries, showing that we can create a common politic in Europe despite of our cultural differences. - To follow a personal progression through responsabilisation in his binational team. - To improve his citizenship. These objectives rely on different pillars: - The animation day for children of the orphanage of Smolyan, to make the participants become aware of the diverse realities in Europe and their luck to live in a family. - The redaction of a chart at the begining of the encounter, insisting on the necessary respect when living together. - Associating the participants to the preparation of the project to responsabilise them and permit them to lead their project concretely. - Investing each participant in a responsability in his binational team (team leader, animation, sanitary, intendance, ...), creating a real cooperation between Bulgarian and French. The exchange between French and Bulgarian has as genral objective the personal construction of each participant. The encounter of those young people should permit them to build up their European citizenship, as much as their national citizenship, through a critical approach of their habits and prejudices. Every participant is discovering througn this project the importance of considering the differences between the actors and the compromises needed for its realisation. That way is developped an opened and respectfull mind which is the foundation od an active citizenship. Theses young adults are learning to take decisions and to affirm themselves for the success of their project. This will give them a solid basis to become actors of their society. Through the construction of their personnality and the apprenticeship of respect, they will become affirmed and active citizens tomorow.
