The present proposal targets all groups (1, 2 and 3) and it provides opportunities of mobility to students (undergraduate and master’s), researchers (doctorate and post-doctorate) and academic staff. Priority is given on an impartial distribution of available positions to students from vulnerable groups (disabled students, with socio-economical problems, refugees and IDPs) through a transparent selection process.The main activities the students of the project are provided with are: the variety of courses offered within the training programs of the host institutions; research activities; foreign language courses (English, French, German, Italian, Greek, Portuguese, Bulgarian, Dutch, Russian); seminars; project assignments; field trips; educational and cultural visits; and internship. On the other hand, the main activities offered to the academic staff are: seminars (on the Bologna Process and new Information Technologies); instruction of courses (in English language); cooperation with colleagues of the host institutions on teaching and research methodologies; collection and development of educational material, as well as discussion with the non-academic sector.The activities provided to all beneficiaries are relevant to the national thematic priorities, thus being of great benefit for their linguistic, educational, personal, intercultural and professional development, for the acquisition of modern and expert knowledge, skills and abilities, for establishing the grounds of public and private cooperation and proper administration, for contributing to the political, economical, environmental, social, cultural and educational issues of the 3 SC targeted countries, for establishing actions to eradicate ‘brain drain’ and for creating links between EU and the SC countries.In general, the expected results of the project are: the mobility of 140 individuals between 10 countries and 18 Institutions (126 students and 14 academic staff); the estimated impacts on target groups; the estimated impacts on the partnership; the publications and other outputs; and the multiplier effect to all of the involved stakeholders on educational, cultural, political and economical level.The proposal being in tandem with the Institutions’ international development and cooperation strategy, contributes greatly to the implementation of their corporate international policy. Additionally, the development and strengthening of the co-operative relations between the SC Institutions and their EU partners, but also between the SC Institutions at regional level, is part of the sustainability of the project, which can be enhanced by continuing with formal agreements the students’ exchanges for studies, research and internship in the future; by developing joint-modules in the partners’ curricula; by diffusing the EU educational system and enhancing the SC educational environment; by establishing entrepreneurship contacts and agreements between the EU and the SC industry; by establishing fruitful and tight collaboration among all the involved bodies; and, finally, by diffusing the EU culture, social and democratic values.
