L'ouverture à l'international comme vecteur d'enrichissement des compétences
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Notre Dame Du Roc High School is situated in La Roche Sur Yon in Vendée in France and it is a secondary school for initial vocational training in cooking, service in restaurant (in front of house), hotel business, bakery and pastry-making, as well as clothes-making (clothing industry) and Accounting, Management, Sales and Services. For many years now, our school has developped and broadened our contacts abroad and different partnerhips have been signed with foreign schools. This has enabled us to send regularly students from different studies (Cooking, Service, bakery and pastry-making and Technological A-Level in Hospitality) for a traing period abroad in foreign companies thanks to the partnersips we have with 5 catering schools in 4 Europen countries. For the catering department, in the past two years, our different international partnerships took place with four catering schools in four different countries in the European Union : - Guayente in Spain which welcomed 20 students, - Colegsirgar College in Carmarthen in Wales for 16 students, - HLF Krems in Austria for 1 student since 2014, - Asty Moulin in Namur in Belgium for 9 students. All these training periods spent abroad are validated by an assessment with an official assessment grid and an official placement certificate. They correspond to an internationalization request concerning the employees working in this field. The placement and assesment of the students is made quite closely between our school and our partners abroad. However, in Accounting, Management, Sales and Services, pupils have less opportunities to exchange with countries abroad. So, a partnership has been signed with a service provider, named Destination Mobilités, which took in charge the placement of our students in companies, host families and proposed some cultural visits and outings. Thus, 5 pupils benefited from Erasmus+ funds to fulfill their mobility in Madrid in Spain : 3 students in Accounting Management and 2 in Sales. The purposes of these motilities are : - Using foreign languages as a professional communication tool, - Promoting foreign gastronomy practice and French gastronomy values, - Strengthening professional skills, - Making students aware of their responsibility. On that point, we would like to underline the fact that the initial file did not include pupils from Accounting, Management, Sales and Services. As our school strongly wishes to share practices between the different types of studies, we decided to include those pupils in this Mobility file. This has been possible by the fact that students from the Catering Department are hosted for a very cheap price in their training company. As a consequence, the total number of mobilities is increased compared to the initial project.
